Vinitaly 2019

Each year Il Mercante attends the VinItaly International Wines and Spirits Exhibition in Verona Italy. More than 4,600 exhibitors and over 125,000 people visit the fair from all over the world. This event gives us a chance to visit our suppliers and taste the new wine vintages and to source something fresh and exciting. Also, this is an occasion to search for different wines that are unique and appealing both to the taste and value for money.

This year, in particular, Antonio Brunetti participated in the Vinitaly International Academy (VIA). This was an opportunity to meet wine experts and ambassadors coming from all over the world who are committed to disseminating Italian wine knowledge. A special thank you to Sarah Heller, Master of Wines, for sharing her passion and wine knowledge with us for four intensive days. The lectures were very rewarding and beneficial. This involved tasting over three hundred wines.
